First year no more!

After today my first year of college will be officially over!!......Haven't yet decided if that's a good thing or bad...you know it's great cuz I'm done with school until fall, but then it just means I'm another year older! >< (oh come on you know girls are sensitive about their age! ;P) Looking back on this year I've actually gotten a lot done!....Like I helped start a new club, I auditioned/got accepted into the Modern Dance Minor program, joined the Uinta Frisbbe team here at the U...funny thing though, all of this was achieved this semester haha where was I last semester? Oh right, I was a complete noob! Funny how now I feel like I actually belong here. I've also come to terms that in order to enjoy college as much as those fanatics that say college was everything they ever dreamed and more you really do have to get involved, and if you're not into that whole 'do everything and anything' kind of attitude make some friends who like to do stuff, it'll keep you entertained and you'll be dragged into somethings that you'd never normally do, but then you'll have a blast! So what am I doing during the summer you ask? WH-ell, first off I'm going to be working (hopefully more in the mornings than at night), and along side the work topic, I might get a second job! This second job would be an internship with a friend's dad here up at the U, bonus is that he'd probably be able to get me into med school! :) I know connections right!? XD haha I don't know of any summer plans yet as far as va-k's and fun stuff; ideas have been thrown around, but nothing final yet. Goals for the summer?.... 1. Make some bank. 2. Have fun. 3. Have fun. 4. Figure out what my majors will be. 5. Have fun. 6. Oh and have fun. Haha yeah there you go, those are my summer objectives XD lol. Some awesome plans there huh? But before I get to all the summer fun I have one last final....but I'm so glad to be done after this! I just hope I pass the f**** test! If I get a C in this class, oh you better bet your a** that I'm going to retake this damn class! I will settle for a B, but a friggin C!?!?! HELL NO!!!! College may be hard, but that hasn't changed my standards of trying hard and doing good in school....that and my parents would probably never let me live it down. -.-' *sigh* The hard life of an Asian huh? *JK it's actually a pretty good life, I mean I don't have to pay for anything, and by anything I mean: 1. Gas 2. Car insurance 3. Cellphone bill 4. TUITION 5. Most meals (unless I'm on campus and my mom isn't around XD lol) 6. The majority of my clothes I know. I'm a lucky chicky! ;) You're all jealous right now....as you should be! haha!! JK

2012 Finally...

*sigh* Well, this is the first post of 2012....:P My bad it's been awhile! But rest assured not too much has changed! So the new classes are going good! Much more enjoyable than last semester for sure! :) I don't dread going to any of my classes! Yay! hehe...social life hasn't changed much, although I have met more people up on campus! So you know got more connections and friends! ^.^ In my Chinese class I have befriended most of them (which is a good thing). Uh...my dance comp. class I also know a couple people, my hip-hop class I talked with one girl last time, so that leaves calc and bio that I don't really talk to anyone, and frankly I'm ok with that lol

The weather this year has been riDICulous!! It's been freezing cold, but with no snow..then suddenly we got this huge storm that dumped like 6 in of snow on us, then it was nice weather again, then stormy, then nice and one final storm. Past couple of days have been really nice, just windy :/ which is part good, part bad...good cuz it's still good weather, bad cuz we've been wanting to play frisbee XD lol.

Well I can't really think of anything else to blog about right now...lol *this is why I always wait til I have something I really, really want to say before I blog* but anyways I'll get on again soon, probly change up the playlist and what not :P Until next time!...

BAGH!!!

*Sigh*....so the new semest (yes I know I want it to say 'semest') has started....I really like my classes, but there are a lot of big changes in my sched this semst for example I have to be to school by 7:30 am, so I get on TRAX at 6 am, which means I wake up at 5 >~< Not my idea of an ideal morning...but the sad part is that waking up that early really isn't that bad except that it's friggin COLD in the mornings and TRAX is pretty full :/. So let's see here's what I'm taking:

CHIN 1020 and CHIN 2020 (there's a story to this)
CALC 1210
BIO 1210
DANCE COMP
---
(2nd session-starts Feb. 29)
ULTIMATE
HIP HOP

So that all amounts to 17 credits this semest! :)
So the whole story with the two Chinese classes is that hehe...so I took 1010 in the fall...and I enrolled for 1020 this semester, but I ran into my cousin who's in 2020 and suggested that I speak with my professor to move into the 2020 class-my teacher loved the idea. So I went to a couple classes and I found that I understood everything they were saying/learning, but my reading ability for characters was a little...haha weak :P, but I decided why not? So I am enrolled in 2020 now and no longer in the 1020, BUT since I have time in my sched for the class I continue to go so that I can still learn the vocab I missed and the characters (though I could review on my own at home) I just don't get a grade and I don't have to pay :) It's a win-win really hehe

The only class I'm hesitant about is my dance composition class...I know I'm a dancer so that should be y favorite class right??...Well it's not. -.- I guess this is why I never liked modern dance haha...it's too....I dunno....'liberal' maybe? (not really the right term) I've seriously had to FORCE myself to go the past two times...gah...but I figured I need to get my gen ed done as soon as I can, and I might as well take more classes while I have my scholarships and stuff....*sigh*

I just CAN'T wait for 2nd session when I have frisbee and hip hop :)

College.....Meh

So I think I've finally settled in as a 'college student'...ha. The work load is DEFINITELY a ton more than traditional high school, and now that I've found a steady job....it's not much better XD. So far I've written two 6 page essays (one being a research paper) and 2 'grammar collections' which include 4 different analyses of 4 different examples of rhetorical skills. -.- A butt load I know, at least math is pretty easy for me still, and Chinese is ok, memorizing characters can be a butt, but so far I'm managing pretty well. :) Well time for class!!
